We are active with the
G.R.E.A.T. Program(Gang Resistance Education and Training) here at the Pulaski County Jail. It enlightens kids and their parents about the dangers that face children as they grow up in our community. We are teaching in several schools now and we also sponsor an annual
G.R.E.A.T. Camp. It's been a very productive program for us, it's a good way to get out into the community and educate kids and their parents about gangs and drugs. We want to reach as many young people as possible with this program. It's a very important program for our community. The program is designed to help young people make better decisions, and it helps parents understand how important family relationships are in forming a healthy environment for their children.
Anyone interested in more information on The G.R.E.A.T. Program should contact Sgt. Cox at the Pulaski County Detention Center (606-678-4315). |
